SMART-VR Community Showcase
We are pleased to announce the first USC SMART-VR virtual Community Showcase on January 26, 2021 from 2-3 pm. This will be the first in a series of showcases featuring short, exciting talks by members of our SMART-VR community about their current research and VR/AR projects. Talks will be accompanied by immersive, 360° demo content that you can view on your own, in the comfort of your own home, using a VR cardboard headset.
Free VR cardboard headsets will be mailed to the first 150 registrants!
Schedule of events:
- 2-2:45 PM: TALKS
Join us for short talks from Drs. Rizzo, Finley, Liew, Pa & Ard on their latest VR/AR projects
- 2:45 – 3 PM: LIVE Q&A and DISCUSSION
Stay on Zoom after the talks to engage in a live Q&A and discussion with the speakers
- AFTER: VR/AR DEMOS (on your own)
Try out immersive demos of the projects from the comfort of your own home. Load the SMART-VR Youtube 360 Demos Playlist on your smartphone and put your phone into the SMART-VR cardboard headset to try out the 360 VR environments. (Note: final demo videos will be updated on 1/26/2021). If you did not yet receive a SMART-VR cardboard headset, email us at email@example.com.

USC Virtual Technologies for Health Symposium
The first annual Virtual Technologies for Health Symposium will bring together researchers within the USC community who are engaged in the development and evaluation of VR/AR technologies for the assessment of sensorimotor function and rehabilitation. This one-day symposium will serve as a forum for scientific discourse, brainstorming and ideation, and community-building among the USC VR community.
